Thank you for the gracious invitation to attend your 1961 Class Reunion on October 7 and 8. Unfortunately, my wife and I will be unable to attend for an number of good reasons. Hopefully, you will understand; however, if you are ever in the Central Florida area, would you please call or e-mail us in advance of your presence in Sunny Florida. My wife and I celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary on June 18; and we are happy to have five grown children and ten grandchildren who live in Florida. Since my retirement from full-time service to a local community college in 2003, my 'rewirement' has been spent as an Americorps-Vista Volunteer with the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate for about four years. Since 2006 I have been teaching part-time at the same community college in my subject field, Business Administration. Also, I have taught many courses in College Success Skills. Once you get education in your blood, you need to continue to offer your services until you are unable to make a difference for whatever reasons. My ongoing theme is 'All for Jesus through Mary with a Smile!' Also, 'Always remember what you have learned. Your education is your life. Guard it well.' (Proverbs 4:13) Congratulations, Class of 1961. You have already made a difference in my life and in many other lives.
