Bauman, Thomas. There are a couple of memories of Tom. Here is a newer one from Tom Fagan: 'I hung around many evenings with Tom Bauman when he and I attended Kent State. Our favorite haunt was the Venice Cafe and I am certain few people had as much fun there as Tom. The Venice is still alive and well. I usually stop in there when I'm visiting in the Akron area. I wish Tom were still there.'
Jim Petrus has this fond and hilarious memory of Tom: 'Tom Bauman and I were close friends.  We had a ritual that bonded us in getting to school each morning.  First, we would meet in front of a certain house and have a cigarette, then we would meet some friends on a bus, and third, we would get off the bus and go into a coffee shop with our friends, and there we would have a couple of doughnuts and smokes.  We would catch a bus and ride to within three blocks of the school.  Tom and I would walk through the parking lot, and then, when out of sight, we would have another smoke.  This was our ritual.  We had no idea of how long it took, but being the lovers of education that we were, we were never late to school.'
