Balturshot, William. Â Bill Banach remembers Bill: 'Bill Balturshot sat in front of me in Homeroom for four years. Bill ran track for the
Vikings and was very fast in the 100- and 220-yard dashes. Bill wasn’t cocky, but was very confident of his ability in the sprints. I bet him in our senior year that he could not beat a friend of mine from a neighboring school. When it came time for the track meet between the two schools, Bill told me he would beat my friend by at least two yards in the 100-yard dash. Well, he did!  I had buy lunch
for him. He reminded me of that bet at our 40th reunion. He was also a fine family man. Â Bill passed away in 2008 at the age of 65.' Jerry Rich in his remembrance of the Viking Track team, also has some fine things to say about Bill. Go to the photo gallery called 'Diary of a Sprinter' on this website to learn more about Bill.
