Erne, Fran.   Frank tells his story: 'I was drafted on my 25th birthday, May 22, 1968. I did basic at Fort Gordon, Augusta, Georgia and Medic Training at Fort Houston, San Antonio, Texas. After three weeks leave I went to Viet Nam. I was there five months and enjoyed being a combat medic. Following a few incidents and medals and Agent Orange, I spent nine months being put back together physically. Since Walter Reed Hospital was short on Medics, I was to add to my experience, by working in dental X-ray during the weekdays and on the ENT, GU, and pediatric wards, voluntarily, when needed. During that same period, when on convalescent leave at home I worked in physical therapy at Euclid General Hospital as a P.T. orderly, but was treated as a PTA. My discharge came three and a half months early.'
