Image 2. When our team arrived a fellow introduced himself. 'I am Mike Di Lillo,' he said.  This guy was one of the big two!  He was friendly and quite confident.  Perhaps he was too confident.

All five of us Vikings got down to business, matching up with the correspondingly ranked players on the Shaw team.  At one point I saw an opportunity for a queen sacrifice.  Di Lillo looked surprised and pondered for a few minutes. He saw that if he accepted the sacrifice, his king would be checkmated in a few moves. After he declined the sacrifice, I started mopping up his undefended pieces.
