Bedel, Reverend Aloysius (Principal 1957-1960, Latin).  Father Bedel lived from 1900-1972.  He died as a member of the Society of Mary.  Here is a memory of Father Bedel from Ed Schober: 'Our first principal was Father Aloysius Bedel...he also taught Latin to some of us. He was a patient and wise Marianist and a fatherly figure to students struggling with the conjugation of Latin verbs. I never knew what became of him after he left St. Joe’s, replaced by Brother Stanley Matthews.' (Submitted by Ed Schober)
