Page One of the Story.  This was a story which appeared in the Euclid News Journal on March 3, 1960.  Heavy hitters like Joe Rigot, John Trojanski, and Jerry Pockar participated in the competitions of the Diocesan Scholastic Press Association of Cleveland.  Dave Pfriem entered, too, but he did not do very well.  We had also attended a Journalism Workshop in Detroit that year and competed in that event.  I remember that I went in order to try to meet girls.

The English department also held an essay competition.  Finalists were Algis Ruksenas, Bill Valis, Ron Hocevar, and winners were Ed Schober, Jerry Pockar, and Paul Nagode.
