This story appeared in the July 31, 1959 Catholic Universe Bulletin. It describes the summer enrichment program for sophomores. The classes, held every day, included mechanical drawing, typing, and reading modern novels. Jerry Pockar and Frank LeMay are pictured, along with a mechanical drawing whiz, Louis Petro. This program was dreamed up by Father Reichert and Brother Eichner as a way to torture those of us who were in the 'advanced' program. I have to admit that learning how to type the 'right' way has been valuable to me for my entire lifetime since that summer. Thanks to Jerry Pockar for saving the article.
