Doyle, John (English).  Bob Ross has this recollection of Mr. Doyle: 'I remember being so happy to be placed in Jack Doyle’s advanced English class. I also remember how difficult it was to earn an A from him!  What a great teacher he was, and what a devastating loss it was to learn of his tragic death.  Jim Heft, of course, wrote a beautiful memorial to him which appeared in our yearbook. Shortly after this, I did an oil painting of Jack and took it to his family. I remember meeting someone, his sister I believe, and was able to express my sympathy directly to her.  Just writing this so many years after the fact continues to create some pain.'  You can read Father Jim's memorial to Mr. Doyle by clicking on the 'Yearbook' icon on our home page, and scrolling to page 7.
