Zak, Phil. Phil passed away on January 9, 2023.

Classmate Father Ed Dietrich will remember Phil in his Mass on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Here is Phil's death notice.

Phillip A. Zak Sr., age 79, of Willowick was born in Cleveland, on June 29, 1943, to the late John and Josephine Zakrajsek (Jerse).He was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, who will be greatly missed by many. Phil proudly retired from GE Nela Park after dedicating 38 years. Phil is survived by his loving wife of 58 years MaryAnn Zak (Otonicar), children Phillip Zak Jr. (Kate), Sharon Clark, Ronald Zak Sr. (Margie), and Lori Major (James) grandchildren Taylor Clark, Ronald Zak Jr., Zachary Clark, Kendra Zak, Leah Major, Nicholas Clark, Devon Zak, Grace Major, and sister Joan Klecan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Maria Schaffner, and brother Bob Zak. Visitation will be on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 10am to 11am at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11:30am at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St, Willowick. Phil will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Phil can be made to St. Mary Magdalene Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
