Moore Jerry (Gerald)

Gerald “Jerry” Moore, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2025. Jerry was the devoted husband of Monica for 60 wonderful years. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter and raised four cherished children Michelle Banno (Anthony), Lynelle Zahler (James), Adam (Rebecca), and Doug (Jean). Jerry was also a doting Papa to nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with one more blessing on the way. He is also survived by his loving siblings Maryann Kokos, Dennis, and Robert, and preceded in death by his parents James and Frances Moore. Jerry served as CEO of Superior Machine Products and was a founding member of Barrington Country Club. He also dedicated himself to the Knights of Columbus, exemplifying the values of faith and service. Jerry’s zest for life was evident in everything he did. He was an avid golfer, bike rider, and exercise enthusiast who believed in the power of a good workout and the occasional off-color joke to lighten the mood. His coy smile and unwavering generosity brought warmth to every room he entered. He was always willing to lend a hand, expecting nothing in return. Jerry, enjoy that great golf course in the sky! You will be deeply missed! Safe travels, Papa, we all love you. Family and friends may call at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland on Tuesday, 4 – 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Church of Saint Anselm, 12969 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland.
